Theatre has, over the past year, given me the opportunity to expand my acting horizons with shows ranging from the hilarious with Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest to the heart wrenching with Corrie Ten Boom's The Hiding Place. Not only is it a chance to grow as an individual actor or actress, but a chance to connect with other fabulous actors, and work along with them to produce a great end product. When not on stage, Encore! Theatre puts students in positions of leadership where they are challenged to keep a budget, direct, and be in a position of authority while maintaining professionalism. This past year with Encore! has taught me more than I had dreamed it could, not only in the world of growing as an actress, but also learning to work through situations to find the best solution possible." - Ms. Rachel Thompson
